Generally, we come across multiple ways to improve our ways of living in the form of fitness, nutrition, gym and health.

But we do not understand the basic meaning of these terms and how it could change the way we look at life as a whole.

What is health ?

Health as defined by the world health organization refers to ” Absence of disease and being in peace with community, god and cosmos”.

Defined by complete physical, social and mental well-being all in all

How does one maintain a healthy lifestyle and manage?

Health is a sensitive process that requires urgent monitoring to prevent diseases.

In the developed countries, diseases like obesity, heart diseases, lung cancers, inadequate sleep, no physical activity leads to a disturbed life.

Furthermore, certain factors need to be changed for a healthy lifestyle.

HEALTH

A) Smoking( health):

  • It is considered as a lifestyle by many, and yet millions die each year due to the effects of it.
    • Main causes:
      • Bladder cancer
      • High blood pressure
      • High fat content
      • Lung cancer
      • Heart diseases
    • Management:
      • Smoking should be avoided simultaneously at all cost as it kills and destroys the organs
      • Chewing gums
      • Plan to quit by setting a set date and stick to it.
      • A mental acceptance to reduce smoking can hence help you to manage the way you think of life.
      • Find a reason that is more compelling to you to smoke. Ask yourself and be scared of its harmful effects to you and your loved ones.
      • Furthermore, take help from your family members for there support on this matter and to constantly monitor you.
      • Keep yourself busy at work, so that the slightest distraction can not disturb your concentration.
      • Think positive

B) Physical inactivity(health):

  • It means there is absolutely no exercise leading to laziness and other health factors.
    • Main reasons:
      • Obesity
      • Laziness
      • Weakness
    • Management:
      • A daily routine of exercises simultaneously followed for 1 hour can lead to reduced risk of heart diseases, obesity and a motivated day for work.
      • Stay dedicated.
      • Think positive

C) Obesity:

  • Obesity is defined as ” Abnormal growth of the fat tissue due to enlarged fat cell size or number”.
    • Main causes:
      • Age: Additionally, Obesity can occur at any time. Infants with excessive weight gain have shown increased incidence of obesity
      • Sex: According to studies, Men of age 29 to 35 and women of age 40 to 49 have shown increased cases of obesity all in all
      • Eating habits: Eating in between meals hence that contain oily food, preservative food items and fats from an early age leads to obesity
    • Management:
      • Diet rich nutritious food should be served
      • Oily food needs to be avoided
      • Home made food simultaneously needs to be encouraged
      • Food rich in fiber and proteins
      • Walking everyday for 1 hour helps to burn fat all in all
      • Furthermore, routine exercise helps in maintaining a healthy and fit life

D) Alcoholism:

  • A term used widely across the world for people addicted to alcohol
  • Causes of alcoholism:
    • Liver disease, which is simultaneously managed by tapping method or by liver replacement.
    • Furthermore, Increased intake of alcohol on a daily basis affects immunity
    • Withdrawal symptoms after stopping alcohol suddenly can lead to mental illness, nausea, vomiting, hallucinations and stomach pain all in all.
  • Management:
    • Behavioral treatments: Additionally in the form of counseling can help to ease mental health
    • Medications as prescribed by the doctor
    • Support from family members and friends
    • Raising awareness on injurious caused due to it.

E) Mental health:

  • Mental health is:
    • A state of well being in which a person realizes his or her abilities and can cope with normal stress around it with contributions to the society all in all.
  • Main causes:
    • Accidents
    • Anxiety, stress, rejection, cruelty, insecurity on the whole
    • Brain diseases
  • Management:
    • Counseling
    • Medications for sleep
    • Keeping busy
    • Exercise and yoga

F) Nutrition:

  • Study of nutrients in the body and its relationship to health.
  • Malnutrition can lead to diseases all in all
  • Examples of nutritious food:
    • Body building foods like milk, cereal, poultry, fish, eggs, pulses and nuts
    • Energy giving foods like cereal, sugar, roots, vitamins and fats on the whole
    • Protective foods like vegetables, fruits and milk
    • Nutritive value foods like cereals, millets, pulses, vegetables, animal food, fruits, nuts and oils all in all

G) Fitness:

  • Staying fit and healthy
  • Important exercises:
    • 20 planks everyday at home
    • Core exercises
    • Deadlift
    • Hip strengthening
    • Running
    • Jumping jacks
    • Early morning walk
    • Crunches
    • Weight lifting all in all
