Peri-Peri Garlic Dip

Peri-Peri Garlic dip is a classic dip that has a savoury taste to it with a tinge of sweetness to balance it out. The dip is usually enjoyed with nachos, as a base sauce in pizza pockets and in burgers too. This dip is both spicy and creamy at the same time and has a unique taste that gives you a blast every time! Medical studies have proved that Garlic lower blood pressure and cholesterol, has anti-inflammatory effect, reduces the risk of cancer is and a stronger immune system. The curd/yogurt used is protein rich and adds to the taste. All in all its a healthy recipe that packs multiple flavours. Do try it to indeed tickle your taste buds.

Ingredients :

  • Garlic Pods: Crushed, 3-4
  • Cumin Powder: 1/2 tea spoon
  • Coriander Powder: 1/2 tea spoon
  • Garlic Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Onion Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar: 1/4th tea spoon
  • Salt: To taste
  • Olive Oil: 2 teaspoon
  • Hung Curd: 1/4th cup
  • Cream cheese: 1/4th cup
  • Oregano: 1/4th teaspoon
  • Chilli Flake: 1/2 teaspoon

Method to make Peri-Peri Garlic Dip:

  • Take a bowl and mix all the dry ingredients together
  • Add the crushed garlic pods to the mix
  • Now add the cream cheese and whisk it until its lump free
  • Add in the hung curd. Alternatively you can use plain yogurt here as well
  • Top it with olive oil and mix with light hands
  • Serve chilled with Nacho Chips

Tips:

  • The ingredients quantity shared here makes a mild flavoured dip. For strong flavor, increase the amount of coriander powder and cumin powder by 1 tea spoon. Also you can add more crushed garlic
  • If you are looking for a light flavoured dip, you can avoid the garlic powder and reduce the amount of cumin and coriander powder to 3/4th teaspoon
