Mushroom Fried Rice

Well, today let me introduce you to an Asian yet international dish. Rice! Fried Rice! Mushroom Fried Rice! Need I see more? Man, the love for this dish is deep routed across the globe and yet the dish varies from place to place. Today am goanna introduce you to an Indo-Chinese version of fried rice and I promise, no one can stop after a bite of this heavenly food

Ingredients:

  • Rice (Boiled and non sticky): 2 Cups
  • Capsicum: 1 medium, diced
  • Carrot: 1 medium, diced
  • Green chilli: 2 slit
  • Mushroom: 100 grams, cleaned and diced
  • Garlic- 5-6 Pods, chopped
  • Ginger- 1/2 inch piece, chopped
  • Onion powder: 1 tea spoon
  • Garlic powder: 1 tea spoon
  • Any Vegetable oil: 3-4 Spoons
  • Salt: To taste
  • Spring Onion: For Garnishing
  • Coriander leaves: For Garnishing

Preparation of Mushroom Fried Rice:

  • In a wok, heat the vegetable oil. Fried rice is made on high flame, hence make sure that the oil is heated well
  • Toss in the chopped garlic, ginger and the slit green chillies and toss until fragrant
  • Add your diced vegetables except mushroom to the wok and keep stirring. Keep stirring until you get the required crunchiness
  • Add the washed and cleaned mushroom now. The Mushroom will release water as soon as you add it in. if you like your mushroom to be juicy then you can reduce the heat and cook it for a minute or two. Else continue stirring on high flame until the water evaporates
  • Now add in the seasonings i.e. garlic powder, onion powder and salt. Keep stirring
  • Now add the boiled rice and mix well
  • Garnish it with spring onion and coriander leaves
  • Your Mushroom Fried rice is ready. Serve with it ketchup and hot sauce
